Morarka Foundation, established by Shri Kamal M. Morarka, India's leading industrialist, began as a grassroots level NGO and over 12 years has evolved as a professional service delivery organization offering solutions for sustainable agriculture, including Organic Agriculture, and fair trade across the globe. In the initial years, Morarka Foundation worked extensively on agricultural technologies to reduce the cost of cultivation, extension methods for Organic Agriculture, Primary Education & Non Formal Education, Prevention of Child Labour, Prevention & Control of HIV/AIDS, Micro Credit and Conservation of Haveli Heritage & Frescoes.
Across the years, driven by the needs of farmers and its own internal capacities, organic agriculture became a thrust area and Morarka Foundation deepened its interventions in the Organic Value Chain. Today, Morarka Foundation and its associate entities (Morarka Organic Foods Pvt. Ltd. - MOFPL for marketing of organic produce and products, @gri-Infotech (for IT solutions such as dynamic database management and portal for marketing of agricultural commodities), Morarka Biotechnology (for products and services for agriculture and environment), besides continuing with many of the earlier interventions especially prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and conservation of heritage. The client base and partners of Morarka Foundation and its associate entities includes 2.5 lakh farmers in India and more than 150 entrepreneurs in India, Japan, Malaysia, USA
