Morarka Foundation Initiative for Development of Trained Human Resource for Agribusiness
Morarka Foundation being a not for profit voluntary organization has been promoting value addition in agriculture since 1993. From being a successful grass root level implementing agency, today it is also recognized as a leading resource organization offering solutions for sustainable agriculture in the world.
During its journey, it has created new employment opportunities for over 10,000 rural youths. for very long, the capacity building of the youths was being done thorugh informal and in-house efforts. Subsequentlly, the methods developed for training were recognized by Academic Institutions as well as by the Agribusiness Industry.
In the Year 2003 JRNR Vidhypeeth, Udaipur, entered into a formal collaboration with Morarka Foundaion to launch "Certificate Course in Organic Agriculture".
This course has not only provided formally trained human resource to Morarka Foundation, but has also become the only source of quallified manpower of over 50 Organic Agribusiness Organizations in India.

Human Resource Requirement for Transforming Agriculture into Agribusiness
Agriculture has been pursed by the farming community, more like a livehood activity and not as a profession. With the result, both technology transfer as well as value addition in agriculture has not been as successful as it has been in many other areas.
Agruculture education has similarly been designed to create trained extension and research professinals. The practitioners of agriculture have not been offered suitable apportunities for training and capacity building through formal methods.
Today, on one hand, we have candidates having qualifications, which are more than reequired , while on other hand, the jobs in agribusiness sector are being filled by candidates without any formal training. This is particularly true for positions at Entry Level as well as for Junior Supervisory Positions.
Certificate Course in Organic Agriculture has been designed to bridge this gap. This course also offers successful candidates an opportunity to set up their own Agribusiness Enterprises.
